Job summary

Xneural GmbH in Germany is hiring a Program Manager to lead the build-out of a wide-area drone detection system protecting critical infrastructure. You will drive both internal sensor development projects and the regulatory work needed to bring it to market.

You will manage pilots, field tests, plan milestones and budgets, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners, including authorities such as BNetzA.

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience leading technical development or field-test projects.
  • Fluent in German and English; ability to present to regulators and partners.

Xneural develops next-generation airspace surveillance systems thatprotect civil and critical infrastructure, based on distributed radar sensorsand cloud-based AI perception. Our mission is to make the lower airspacevisible through Drone Detection as a Service deployed on existingtelecommunications infrastructure.

We are building a highly scalable radar perception platform capable ofdetecting, tracking, and classifying airborne objects in complexreal-world environments.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Program Manager to lead the build-out of a wide-area drone detection system forthe protection of critical infrastructure, driving both the internal sensor development projectand the regulatory work needed to bring it to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the internal development project for a drone detection system
  • Run pilot projects and field tests for drone detection, in particular
  • Support the applications for spectrum authorization with theGerman Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), together with partners
  • Plan, track, and steer project milestones, budgets, and resources
  • Coordinate closely with internal development teams as well as external partners and authorities
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
  • Several years of experience leading technical development or field test projects
  • Comfortable presenting to regulators and partner engineering teams
  • Excellent German and English language skills
Nice to Have
  • Experience with mobile communications network planning and roll-outs
  • Knowledge of sensor technology, radio technology, or drone detection
  • Experience working with authorities, in particular the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) orcomparable regulatory bodies
  • Experience with pilot projects or field tests for critical infrastructure systems
