PROFESSORSHIP (W2) – Theory and Empirical Research in Health‑Related Social Work
This professorship, located at the Institute of Social Work, focuses on research and knowledge transfer on demographic change and inclusion of all age groups in social transformation processes. Teaching responsibilities include delivering theoretical knowledge and concepts of health‑related social work, and examining community‑based and psychosocial concepts and models within the context of societal change, in both Bachelor and Master programmes. The professor will teach in German and English, and if adequate German language proficiency is currently lacking, a commitment to acquire the language promptly is required.
We are seeking a candidate with proven expertise in research and teaching, experience in the health care sector, community psychiatry, or health promotion, and an academic perspective from social work, health science, or medicine. Particular emphasis is on outpatient care, prevention and rehabilitation, multiprofessional collaboration, user participation and mental health. The future post holder is expected to have academic expertise in at least two of these areas and to demonstrate this through relevant publications.
Experience in acquiring third‑party funding and in executing externally funded projects is required; experience with DFG or EU projects is particularly desirable.
