Job summary

Randstad Deutschland in Lüdenscheid seeks a Global Product Specialist to drive the digital Home Automation portfolio, collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative digital services. You will act as an Agile Product Owner, prioritize backlogs, and translate strategies into executable tasks for R&D and IT/IS.

You will guide cross-functional teams and educate internal stakeholders on our Digital Services offering.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology, Digital Business or User Experience Design.
• At least 2 years in product management or as product owner in an international environment.
• Strong technical background in software engineering, architectures, networking, IoT & cloud tech.
• Customer-oriented with ability to communicate needs clearly.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Lean) and DevOps tooling.
• Fluent English, strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Global Product Managers to define and manage digital services for Home Automation.
• Act as Agile Product Owner, prioritize and manage backlogs across digital features.
• Translate long-term strategies into short-term development cycles for R&D teams.
• Understand customer jobs-to-be-done and stakeholder outcomes along the value chain.
• Identify ideas delivering differentiated value and align with global standards.
• Ensure frequent deployable code delivery with R&D teams in sprints and MVPs.
• Provide requirements to R&D and IT/IS and drive implementation and launch.
• Coordinate with cross-functional and cross-geography teams for direction.
• Educate internal product, sales and marketing on Digital Services offering.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Work in collaboration with other Global Product Managers to identify, define and manage digital services and applications based on the holistic residential digital strategy for a comprehensive digital Home Automation offering to optimize customer satisfaction and digitally enhance the product/system/service portfolio.
• Act as an Agile Product Owner who identifies, defines, prioritizes, and manages the backlog of digital features along the digital user journey such as apps, integrations, licensing, digital user flows, digital marketplace, partner pages and overall web representation.
• Translate long term business/product strategies into short term, iterative development cycles and technical requirements to R&D teams.
• Understand jobs to be done, needs (pain points) and stakeholders’ desired outcomes along the value chain.
• Help to uncover and prioritize ideas that deliver differentiated value.
• Follows and understands global standards and customer requirements and their impact on the digital tools. Conducts competitor analyses and evaluates the position.
• Ensure frequent delivery of deployable code (in sprints and MVPs) in relation with the R&D teams.
• Provides requirements to R&D and IT/IS organizations and drives the implementation, testing and launch of solutions.
• Work with cross-functional and cross-geography teams providing product related direction to R&D, design and communication teams.
• Educate internal product, sales and marketing organizations about our Digital Services offering.

Unsere Anforderungen

• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology, Digital Business or User Experience Design.
• At least 2 years relevant experience in product management or as product owner, preferable within an international business environment, preferentially related to SW, IT, IoT, UX.
• Possess a strong technical background of software engineering, system architectures, networking technologies, IoT & cloud technologies. A previous experience in an IT/IoT company or digital startup is preferential.
• Possess a strong customer orientation with the ability to clearly communicate customer needs within the project team.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Lean) and associated DevOps tooling is required.
• Fluent in English with strong written & verbal communication skills and ability to tailor communication level to match the audience type.
• Highly motivated and results oriented individual possessing the ability to proactively lead/drive initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Track record of working effectively with internationally distributed teams and different stakeholders, technical and non-technical.
