Job summary

QCG Computer GmbH is seeking a motivated technician to monitor and maintain production equipment. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, perform adjustments, and collaborate closely with engineers to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include supporting pilot runs, preparing for new product introductions, and keeping documentation up to date. A strong hands-on mindset and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or technical education in electronics, mechatronics, automation, or a comparable field.
• Initial professional experience in production, equipment support, automation, or a technical service environment is an advantage.
• Strong hands-on mindset with an affinity for equipment and production technology.
• Ability to analyze technical issues systematically and support practical shop-floor solutions.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Visio experience is a plus.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious teamwork.
• Good command of English for daily production communication; German is a plus.

Your mission

• Monitor equipment performance during production and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including parameter fine-tuning, mechanical adjustments, and part replacement, to minimize downtime.


• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams during equipment-related issues.


• Document and track equipment problems and support corrective actions.


• Communicate equipment issues to engineers and actively contribute to root cause analysis and performance improvements.


• Proactively collaborate with engineers on equipment adjustments, trials, and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.


• Support pilot runs and assist in the introduction of new or adapted manufacturing processes into serial production.


• Support equipment and infrastructure readiness for new product introductions.


• Maintain part numbers and update work instructions related to equipment and process changes.


• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to maintenance plans.

Your profile

• Completed vocational training or technical education in electronics, mechatronics, automation, or a comparable field.


• Initial professional experience in production, equipment support, automation, or a technical service environment is an advantage.
