Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, establish, and continuously improve production and assembly lines within the Traction business at our Minden site. You will optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows with a strong focus on automation, lean methodologies, and operational excellence. Each day, you will ensure that production methods, cycle times, equipment performance, and material flows support quality, efficiency, cost, and safety targets. You will also leverage your expertise in process engineering to define layout concepts, manage implementation projects, and drive the digitalization of production.

The work model for the role is: Onsite (Flex Day regulation)

This role is contributing to the Traction Local Division in Germany. Main stakeholders are Production Management, Quality Management, Procurement, the central Traction factory in Switzerland, and local Warehouse/Logistics teams.

  • Leading projects for the establishment and expansion of production lines in the Traction environment at the Minden site
  • Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes using Lean Management methods and tools
  • Executing and reporting continuous improvement projects in close collaboration with our main plant in Switzerland
  • Acting as process owner for the specialized processes 'crimping' and 'screwing'
  • Planning and implementing logistics processes within warehouse management
  • Driving automation and digitalization initiatives throughout the production area
  • Conducting layout planning to optimize production flows and supporting subsequent implementation
  • Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including Production, Quality, Purchasing, and cross-functional partners

Qualifications for the role
  • You are immersed in Lean Management methodologies, automation technologies, production engineering tools, and the manufacturing/industrial engineering environment
  • You have experience in setting up production lines, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving engineering or operations projects
  • You are qualified in SAP, ideally with exposure to warehouse-management systems, as well as production-planning software/platforms
  • You are passionate about analytical problem solving, structured and autonomous work styles, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering/Management, or Automation, or a comparable qualification with relevant experience
  • You are at ease communicating in German (fluent) and English (very good command)
  • You hold current work authorization valid in Germany
