Job summary

Upsun is seeking a Product Manager to own a significant area of Upsun Cloud, the cloud application platform. You will define strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for developers and AI agents, collaborating with engineering on scalable platform capabilities and durable APIs.

You will synthesize customer inputs, test assumptions, and ship iterative improvements that balance foundational reliability with innovation, ensuring a superior developer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management for developer platforms, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of building, deploying, and running cloud applications and multi-tenant architectures.
• Software development experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Go, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows, Docker/OCI container technologies, and intuitive API design.
• AI fluency: daily use of modern AI tools to research, draft, and prototype workflows.
• Agentic development: strong perspective on autonomous agent architecture and agentic workflows.
• Comfort turning unstructured problem spaces into clear strategies and actionable plans.
• Collaborative communication: clear written and verbal communication across teams.

Impact of a Product Manager

As a Product Manager at Upsun, you own a significant area of Upsun Cloud, our cloud application platform, and the outcomes it delivers for the developers who build on it. The team you join owns the platform’s foundations: the API, the runtime, environments, and the reliability every application running on Upsun depends on. And because Upsun is the cloud application platform humans and robots love, much of what you build will be used by AI agents as much as by people. This is a hands‑on, technically rich role that bridges product strategy and deep infrastructure understanding. You own the strategy and the roadmap for your area, working closely with engineering to define platform behavior, build scalable abstractions, and shape workflows that empower modern development teams. Throughout, you act as the key voice for the user, making sure everything we ship contributes meaningfully to an exceptional developer experience.

What you bring

• Product management experience: Proven experience in product management owning a distinct product area, ideally focused on developer platforms, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure.
• Technical depth: Understanding of building, deploying, and running applications in the cloud, with the ability to collaborate closely with infrastructure engineers on multi‑tenant architectures or distributed systems.
• Software development background: Familiarity with building software using languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Go, or Rust.
• CI/CD, containers & APIs: Hands‑on experience or close collaboration with CI/CD workflows, Docker/OCI container technologies, and a clear vision for intuitive API design.
