ABOUT YOU SE & Co. KG is seeking a part-time Product Developer for LAYBELS (all genders) in Berlin. The role focuses on quality, fit, and lifecycle management, with collaboration across buying, design, and production teams.

The candidate will lead fittings, provide technical input via the PDM system and Adobe Creative Suite, and drive end-to-end product implementation while fostering team growth and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in garment technology or a comparable education.
• 3 years of professional experience in product development and/or apparel production.
• Proven project management skills with a proactive approach.
• Strong knowledge of garment specifications, fit, and pattern making.
• Eye for detail and experience with suppliers and cross-team collaboration.
• Passion for fashion with a hands-on mentality and teamwork.
• Fluent in English; other languages are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company standards for quality, fit, and function with buying, designers, and stakeholders.
• Lead fittings and supervise fit assessments.
• Provide technical information/comments using our PDM system and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Be responsible for product lifecycle, risk management, and end-to-end implementation.
• Drive team development and establish routines to improve product and team performance.
• Collaborate with buying/design to translate ideas into final product.

This position is hired part-time (20 hours per week) as a fixed-term parental leave cover.

• Ensure company standards for quality, fit, and function in close collaboration with buying, designers, and key stakeholders across the organization
• Lead fittings and supervise fit assessments
• Ensure provision of technical information/comments using our PDM system and Adobe Creative Suite
• Be responsible for the product lifecycle, risk management, and timely end-to-end implementation
• Drive the professional and personal development of the team. Establish routines for the team to continuously improve product and team performance
• Collaborate with the buying and/or design teams to support the translation of the original idea into the final product
