Job summary

Personio's HR platform empowers small and medium-sized organizations by simplifying people operations. As a Senior Product Designer you will define the future of Personio’s product and lead initiatives across disciplines to ensure high-quality work that meets customer needs.

You will work with AI-enabled workflows, create high-fidelity prototypes, mentor designers, and help evolve the design practice. This role requires 2 days per week in the office and offers flexible, hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Experience and passion for one or more dimensions of design, e.g., Product thinking, Interaction Design and Crafted execution.
• Skilled in using high-fidelity and AI powered prototyping tools.
• Experience in extending or creating reusable frameworks, tooling, rituals, playbooks, patterns or processes adopted by others that improve how teams work.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a product area in partnership with the cross functional team.
• Capable of elevating craft, proactively identifying and driving initiatives and raising quality across the product area.
• Proven track record of shipping high‑impact, multi-release product outcomes.
• Operates with autonomy, accountability, and mature decision-making thriving in ambiguity and can bring clarity to complex or undefined spaces.
• AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience using AI to improve your workflow, and the sound judgment to know exactly when to rely on it and when to step in yourself.

• Work at the leading edge of AI enabled workflows and bring new approaches to the design process.
• Create high fidelity deliverables (including hand-coded or AI-assisted prototypes) that articulate and inform product vision.
• Identify emerging design patterns and create reusable and extensible abstractions and frameworks, connecting disparate projects to avoid or reconcile avoidable divergence.
• Demonstrated commitment to uplifting the design through culture of excellence and empathetic support, mentoring designers and cross-functional peers and providing constructive critique and feedback.

This role requires 2 days per week in the office and is based in Munich, Berlin or London.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will help to define the future of Personio’s HR platform and lead key initiatives to evolve the product and our product design practice. You will own the functional strategy for your product area and coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines and levels to ensure the team is delivering high quality work which responds pragmatically to customer needs.

Alongside developing high quality product experiences, you will help evolve the design practice at Personio. Technical advances are enabling new tools and methods in the design process, and Personio is committed to exploring and integrating the latest possibilities.
