LS Leasing & Service GmbH in Munich is seeking a Senior Software Architect to own the software stack that powers a regulated financial services business. You will drive architecture across customer platforms, asset management, and internal tooling while guiding AI initiatives from prototype to production.

You will lead the integration of banking partners and data sources, ensuring security, regulatory compliance, and clear communication of technical trade-offs to management.

You build and own the software that runs a regulated financial services company - from customer-facing platforms to the tools our team uses every day - and you lead how we put AI to work. Senior role in Munich, reporting to management.

Tasks

• Architecture and product ownership. You design and build software applications across the company - customer platform, contract and asset management, financial workflows, internal tooling - and you decide how they fit together. Not a ticket queue: you own the roadmap, the trade-offs and the result.
• Agentic development. You produce code agentically, review it, and keep the stack in a state you would be proud to hand over.
• Lead AI at LS. You run our AI lab: identify where language models and automation move the business, build prototypes, deliver into production, and monitor them for quality, cost and compliance.
• Integration. You connect the platform with what operations depends on - banking and payment partners, e‑signature, credit data, accounting - and you keep those connections reliable.
• Security and regulation. You treat data protection, auditability and regulatory requirements as guidance from day one, not as a review step at the end.
• Direct line to management. You present options and decisions to the owners directly. Decisions here take few time, not quarters - and they are then yours to deliver.

Requirements

• You have built software that is in production and used every day - and you have carried the architecture of at least one such system from design through operation.
• You have shipped AI features beyond a demo: integrating language models or ML into a real workflow, with evaluation, monitoring and a cost model.
• Broad technical understanding across backend, data, web frontend and cloud infrastructure, and the readiness to own architecture decisions.
• You explain technical decisions to non-technical owners in plain language - and can make the case for them convincingly.
• Fluent English or German.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Munich.

Helpful, not required

• Experience in a regulated or financial environment (leasing, banking, payments, insurance). Curiosity about the challenges of building software in a regulated environment matters more.
