Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking a wind procurement lead to oversee turbine procurement from supplier selection through to commissioning in Germany. The role covers negotiations, supplier management, and risk assessment across projects.

The position is open to candidates throughout Germany with office presence a few days per month, offering hybrid work and close collaboration with development, investment, and legal teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in onshore wind procurement or contract management.
• Hands-on experience negotiating turbine contracts and supplier terms.
• Fluent in German and English to communicate with suppliers and teams.

A leading privately owned renewable energy business is growing its onshore wind portfolio in Germany through investment and acquisitions.

The Role

• You will manage wind turbine procurement from supplier selection and contract negotiation through to construction and commissioning, working closely with Development, Investment, Construction and Legal.
• The role is open to candidates across Germany, with attendance at the company’s office required a few days a month.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess turbine options, pricing and proposals from turbine manufacturers.
• Lead turbine supply agreement negotiations through to signature.
• Negotiate service and maintenance agreements where required.
• Manage key supplier relationships and challenge commercial and contractual terms.
• Support project teams with contractual risks, delivery issues and commissioning matters.

Your Experience

• Ideally 3–5 years’ relevant experience in onshore wind, with a background in turbine procurement, OEM sales or contract management.
• Hands-on experience negotiating turbine contracts is key, alongside the confidence to manage suppliers and take ownership of negotiations.
• Fluent in German and English.
