Maersk is seeking a Procurement Manager, Contract Logistics, based in Germany, to lead procurement activities for our Contract Logistics sites in Germany and support North Europe as needed.

You will manage CAPEX and operating spend, contribute to category strategies, and work with warehouse operations, engineering, finance and legal to deliver cost savings, reliable supplier performance and successful implementations.

Procurement Manager Contract and Cold Chain Logistics

We are looking for a Procurement Manager, Contract Logistics to join our North Europe Procurement team.

Based in Germany, you will lead procurement activities for our Contract Logistics sites in Germany while supporting other North Europe sites as required. You will manage both CAPEX and operational spend and contribute to category strategies and procurement initiatives across the region.

You will work closely with Warehouse Operations, Construction and Engineering, Finance, Legal, Customer Implementation teams and Procurement colleagues to deliver competitive solutions, reliable supplier performance and successful warehouse implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier selection for assigned warehouse categories.
• Manage both CAPEX and operational procurement requirements.
• Support Contract Logistics sites across North Europe, with primary responsibility for Germany.
• Manage categories including labour, utilities, material handling equipment, facility management, security, automation, operational tools and consumables.
• Support new customer implementations, warehouse openings, expansions and operational improvement projects.
• Align procurement plans and supplier lead times with project and go-live schedules.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance against measurable cost, quality, service and reliability targets.
• Identify and deliver cost, cash, compliance and process improvements.
• Ensure contract and procurement policy compliance.
• Manage sourcing, contracting and procurement activities through SAP S/4HANA and digital procurement platforms.
• Maintain accurate supplier, contract, project and savings data.
• Collaborate with regional and global Procurement teams to align category strategies and share best practices.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 7 years of procurement or category management experience within contract logistics, warehousing or supply chain.
• Experience managing CAPEX and operational procurement across relevant warehouse categories.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management skills.
• A commercial and analytical mindset, with confidence using data, digital tools and AI to support decision-making and improve procurement processes.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound decisions while collaborating effectively across teams, functions and countries.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic international environment and adapting to evolving business priorities.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP system. Familiarity with e-sourcing platforms such as Keelvar is an advantage.
• Fluent German and English is Mandatory.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and North Europe.
