A leading company in agricultural parts is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager for Transportation. In this role, you will lead procurement activities, develop sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships while collaborating closely with business owners. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree with at least five years of experience, including logistics and procurement, and possesses strong negotiation and communication skills. The Procurement function has a key role to play at Kramp: deliver the most competitive cost & cash base and create top line value by building and managing a strong supplier base.
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be leading Transportation Procurement activities in close collaboration with the respective teams within Kramp. Your activities will be including but not limited to sourcing (e.g. tenders, negotiations) and contracting activities for e.g. outbound (night transport, regular road transport, couriers), inbound (road, air transport and sea freight) and backbone (internal transport). Liaising with the relevant senior stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and implementation of category Procurement plans that deliver best in class results.
The location for this role will be a mix of Varsseveld, Utrecht and home office.
You report directly into the Procurement Manager Indirect Spend.
To be successful in this role, you will need a relevant Bachelor or Master's degree combined with at least 5 years of relevant experience, of which at least one year being in Logistics and preferably in a Procurement team/environment. You have shown your ability to translate plans into actions, to manage projects in the most efficient way and to challenge the existing and to drive change when necessary.
