Job summary

WD in Ulm, Germany, is seeking a Master-level engineer to develop and optimize plasma-based processes for optoelectronic components, including VCSELs and photodiodes. You will lead planning, execution, analysis, and documentation of plasma process development, train production personnel, and collaborate with development teams to advance manufacturing capabilities in a global context.

Qualifications

  • Completed university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
  • Knowledge of plasma technology.
  • Experience in modern semiconductor device manufacturing and/or optoelectronics.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control.
  • Independent, solution-oriented, and responsible working style.
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
