Zusammenfassung

CEPRES GmbH is seeking a data analyst/BI specialist for its Munich headquarters to manage client investment data, perform ETL tasks, and develop SQL scripts and Power BI dashboards. You will collaborate across geographies, support portfolio monitoring, and contribute to analytics projects in a fast-paced, international environment.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree in a finance/economics/accounting/CS field, 3–4 years in M&A or leveraged finance, strong English, and excellent presentation

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, CS or related big data field.
• Interest in Corporate Finance, especially Private Equity.
• Experience with datasets and analytics workflows; SQL and Power BI knowledge.
• Strong data analysis skills; advanced Excel and Python beneficial.
• Experience with big data tools and AI productivity tools is valued.
• 3–4 years of experience in M&A, leveraged finance, or investment banking preferred.
• Excellent presentation and fluent English communication.
• Time management and intercultural collaboration in an international environment.
• Excellent teamwork; ability to optimize workflows.
• Ability to collect/research qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities :

• Coordinate client investment data handling with accurateand timely feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across differentgeographies and time zones
• Perform regular data ingestion, transformation, andloading (ETL) tasks across defined pipelines.
• Write and maintain basic SQL queries and scripts fordata extraction and reconciliation.
• Manage schedules and overall project status to ensurerequirements and project components are understood and delivered according toservice level agreements and best practices across cross-functional teams
• Responsible for timely delivery of the project componentsand ensuring requirements of the projects are met
• Work closely with customer success managers and theproject manager to ensure ad-hoc and quarterly planned portfolio monitoringactivities are delivered to the client as per the service level agreement
• Assist the project manager in management reporting
• Maintain the highest levels of client satisfaction amongstclients through professional and timely communications and actions
• Develop and produce presentations, descriptivedocumentations regarding the platform (written and digital) for internal andexternal clients
• Lead and manage process optimization projects along withbusiness intelligence projects
• Adhering to best practices and workflows at both, theorganization and project levels

Requirements

• Master’s Degree preferred - Someone pursuingtheir Master's in (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science orrelated field working with big data)
• Interest in Corporate Finance, especially the PrivateEquity industry (Financial Statements, Private Market Transactions, etc.)
• Experience/knowledge in handling datasets andanalytics workflows; working knowledge of SQL (querying, joins, aggregation,validation queries) and Power BI (data modeling concepts, measures/KPIs, dataquality checks, reporting are highly appreciated).
• Strong data analysis skills to conduct scaledanalysis (Advanced Excel - VBA Beneficial, Python)
• Ability to work with big data using various tools &applications
• Practical working experience using AI productivitytools (e.g., Gemini, Copilot, Claude) to improve workflow efficiency(automation, summarization, drafting, data/QA assistance) is highlyappreciated.
• Ability to analyze financial data fast and efficiently,familiarity with high-level accounting topics (i.e. high-level datareconciliation)
• 3-4 years of experience in M&A, leverage financetransactions, or investment banking preferred
• Interest in building analysis frameworks, andstandardization of analysis methodology and company-wide processes
• Excellent presentation skills
• Good English skills (written & communication)
• Time Management skills to coordinate information frominternal stakeholders efficiently and customers and finalize tasks &assigned projects.
• Intercultural competence required to adapt and excelwithin a truly diverse and international company
