Discover International is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to own features from concept to production. You will work with a mature Java Spring codebase and Angular frontend, in a cross-functional team with Product, UX and Design.

You will drive architectural decisions and mentor teammates to raise the technical standard. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Java, 3+ years in Angular, and a background in financial services with strong data integrity and compliance experience.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional Java development (Spring / Spring Boot, REST, JPA, SQL).
• 3+ years building production applications in Angular.
• Experience in financial services or insurance with emphasis on compliance and data integrity.
• Fluent German (C1 or better) and solid English.

Our client is an established B2B financial technology business whose platform sits at the centre of how lenders, brokers and insurers transact in Germany. Their products handle real money and real regulatory weight — which means the engineering problems are genuinely hard, and the code you write matters to thousands of daily users.

They're growing the core product team and looking for a senior full-stack engineer to take ownership of features end to end, from shaping the approach with the Product Owner through to production.

What you'll be doing

• Building and evolving customer-facing web applications on a mature Java Spring codebase with Angular on the front end
• Working in a cross-functional team alongside Product, UX and Design — not taking tickets off a backlog, but helping decide what gets built
• Driving architectural decisions and pushing the platform toward a cleaner, more modular structure
• Setting the technical bar through code review, testing and mentoring less experienced developers

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional Java development (Spring / Spring Boot, REST, JPA, SQL)
• 3+ years building production applications in Angular
• Commercial experience within financial services or insurance — you understand why compliance, auditability and data integrity aren't negotiable
• Fluent German (C1 or better) and solid English
• Based in or within commuting distance of Frankfurt am Main
