Job summary

Microchip Technology, Inc. is seeking a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join the Analog IP development group. You will design and simulate core analog IPs, define floorplans, and collaborate with system and digital teams to bring up new products.

The ideal candidate has deep sub-micron process experience for MCU peripherals, strong transistor-level knowledge, and an MSEE with 8+ years of design experience.

Qualifications

• Design experience with deep sub-micron processes focusing on MCU peripherals.
• Hands-on design experience with analog modules such as Ultra Low Power Front End and Power Management.
• Knowledge of transistor-level analog ICs and device physics; strong CADENCE/EDA skills.

Responsibilities

The major responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:• Leading design and simulation of various analog blocks• Defining layout floorplans and working closely guiding layout designers• IC bench evaluation and validation• Supporting technical issues, design documentation and other design aspects• Analog design using Cadence tools• Collaborating with other teams to successfully bring up new products• Work with system and digital teams**Requirements/Qualifications:*** Design experience with deep sub-micron process with focus on Micro-controller Peripheral Architectures, Designs for Ultra Low Power High Speed Analog Mixed Signals* Solid fundamentals of transistor level analog integrated circuits and device physics* MSEE with >8+ years of design experience* Hands-on Design experience with analog modules such as Ultra Low Power Analog Front End, Power Management is a must Working knowledge on ADC, DAC, Amplifiers is preferred* Solid knowledge of EDA design tools and Cadence design environment* Self-motivated and take full responsibility for solutions* Have in-depth knowledge on Microcontroller Architecture and SoC verification skills preferred* Strong Communication and team work skills* Strong knowledge of Analog design using Cadence tools* Experience in IC bench evaluation and validation preferred* Good interpersonal skills for cross functional work* Ability to successfully collaborate in a Global Design Team is essential**Travel Time:**0% - 25%
