Job summary

WiseGlow Germany is seeking a senior power trading professional to lead the development of trading, market analysis and asset optimisation for its PV & BESS portfolio. The role requires establishing dispatch, revenue stacking, and hedging strategies while building a dedicated power trading team.

You will manage activities across Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing and Ancillary Services markets and collaborate with Commercial, Asset Management and Technical teams. German market knowledge is a plus.

Job description

WiseGlow is building its European PV & BESS portfolio and is looking for a senior professional to lead the development of power trading, market analysis and asset optimisation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define trading and optimisation strategy for the PV & BESS portfolio.
• Manage activities across Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing and Ancillary Services markets.
• Develop dispatch, revenue stacking and portfolio optimisation strategies.
• Structure PPAs and hedging strategies to support portfolio value.
• Lead the development of forecasting, back-testing and revenue optimisation models.
• Gradually build processes, tools and a dedicated power trading team.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Asset Management, Investment and Technical teams.

Required Profile

• Hands-on power trading experience with P&L accountability, gained prior to coordination roles.
• Experience in team management or building a trading desk.
• Experience with front-of-the-meter assets: PV, BESS or other flexible assets.
• Solid knowledge of Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing and/or Ancillary Services.
• Understanding of PPAs, hedging and risk management.
• Strong quantitative skills; Python, SQL or optimisation tools are a plus.
• Knowledge of the German power market is a plus.
• We primarily assess the quality, complexity and impact of prior experience, rather than solely seniority years.
