A leading university in Germany seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher for the GCCL Fellowship Programme starting July 2026. This full-time role involves weak lensing analysis, teaching, and presenting outcomes at international venues. Candidates must hold a PhD in astronomy/astrophysics and possess skills in image processing and statistical analysis. The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy – Observational Cosmology - German Centre for Cosmological Lensing – offers a fixed-term postdoctoral fellowship (full-time 39.83 h/week) starting 01.07.2026 (or later at the candidate's request).

The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.

The load of teaching will be calculated according to § 3 of Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung (state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
The first round of video-interviews will be scheduled in the second half of January 2026.
