The Renné Laboratory at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) investigates molecular mechanisms of translational thromboinflammation, with a particular focus on the inorganic mediator polyphosphate (polyP). We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to study the roles of polyphosphate in metabolic and thromboinflammatory diseases of high clinical relevance. The project combines ex vivo analyses of polyphosphate metabolism and signalling with in vivo models of thromboinflammation and metabolism.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to grow scientifically within a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment, advancing cutting‑edge translational polyphosphate research with strong clinical and mechanistic impact.
2‑year fixed term, with the possibility of extension or a permanent position.
Candidates will be assessed based on education and research experience, publication record and overall track record, scientific motivation and originality, and proven teamwork skills.
