Qualifikationen

• Mindestens sehr guter PhD in der Polymerforschung.
• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (M.Sc./M.Eng.) in Polymerwissenschaft oder verwandtem Bereich.
• Berufserfahrung und Kenntnisse im Bereich Pyrolyse und Flammschutz von Polymeren.
• Exzellente Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

• Interdisziplinäre Forschung im Bereich flammschutzmittelhaltiger Polymermaterialien.
• Entwurf, Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung von Versuchsreihen sowie Prozessoptimierung.
• Präsentation und Veröffentlichung von Ergebnissen sowie Kommunikation mit Projektpartnern.
• Projektmanagement, Akquise neuer Themen und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

To strengthen our team in the division “Technical Properties of Polymeric Materials” in Berlin-Steglitz, starting as soon as possible, we are looking for a Postdoc / Research assistant (m/f/d) in the field of polymer science or a comparable field of study.

The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. Responsibilities

Interdisciplinary research in the field of flame-retardant polymer materials, including:

• Design, planning, execution and evaluation of experimental series as well as process optimization
• Presentation and publication of results and communication with project partners
• Project management, acquisition of new topics and public relations

Qualifications

• At least a very good PhD in polymer research
• Completed university degree (M.Sc./M.Eng.) in polymer science or related field
• Professional experience and knowledge in the areas of pyrolysis and flame retardancy of polymers
• Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate
• Goal-oriented and structured working style, initiative
• Independent and responsible working approach, self-motivation
• Strong communication and information skills, including scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences
• Willingness to learn and interest in interdisciplinary applied research
