Responsibilities

As a Research Associate (Postdoc) in the Ubiquitous and Intelligent Systems (UBIX) Research Group at SnT, you will contribute to advanced research in the field of connected and autonomous driving. You will be involved in European and national research projects carried out in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners, addressing topics such as cooperative automated driving, connected mobility systems, and intelligent transportation technologies.

You will take a leading role in research activities, including:

• Design and implementation of novel methods, experimental evaluation, and dissemination of results through high-quality scientific publications.
• Coordination and management of collaborative research projects, including task planning, partner interaction, and reporting activities.
• Co-supervision and mentoring of junior researchers, contributing to a supportive and dynamic research environment.
• Active participation in the preparation of competitive research proposals.

Your profile and qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, with specialization on applied machine learning, statistical methods, and/or autonomous systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Industry experience in information and communication technology will be considered an advantage
• Team working, a critical mind, and motivation are skills that are welcome
• Knowledge of both the basics and the latest developments of machine learning, in particular large language models and other generative AI models

Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. French, German or Luxembourgish is a plus.
