Zusammenfassung

Nexans is seeking a Financial Controller for our site in Germany. The role focuses on controlling and accounting, with responsibility for plant P&L, budgets, and working capital optimization. You will work closely with plant management, supply chain, and finance teams to drive performance and ensure accurate forecasts.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, strong German and English, and solid MS Office skills, with SAP experience considered a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of professional experience as financial controller.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Analyse the plant P&L and ensure follow-up of industrial performances.
• Analyse and improve Working Capital turns with plant manager and supply chain.
• Ensure forecasts and budget construction are consistent and identify corrective actions.
• Initiate and participate in regular management meetings across production, supply chain, and technology.
• Continuously research and identify performance improvements within production.
• Support key topics with data analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate with the external shared service center for accounting and tax tasks.
• Enforce Group and company financial procedures and promote internal controls.
• Ensure physical inventory is carried out properly and manage inventory adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the plant/ business P&L and ensure the follow-up of the industrial performances (direct labor productivity, price variances, fix costs analysis)
• Analyse and improve the Working Capital turns together with the plant manager and the supply chain responsible
• Responsible of the consistency of the forecasts and budget construction for the site and helps the plant manager and the business to identify corrective action
• You initiate/participate in regular meetings with management (including production, supply chain, technology) in order to contribute to current focal points as required
• Continuous research and identification of performance improvements within production
• Support key topics based on Group and management guidelines through appropriate data analysis and recommendations
• Coordination with the external shared service center for accounting and tax tasks
• Enforce Group and company financial procedures - In addition, promote internal control across all functions
• Ensure that physical inventory is carried out properly and manage inventory adjustments

Qualifications

• University degree with a focus on controlling and/or accounting controlling or comparable qualifications
• Professional experience at least 3-5 years as financial controller
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Enjoy working in a motivated environment, familiarizing yourself with new tasks and dealing with numbers
• Above-average commitment, initiative, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Excel) and experience with SAP accounting software is an advantage
