The Institute of Medical Biochemistry, headed by Prof. Tim Lämmermann, is part of the Centre of Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE) and embedded within a vibrant research environment and part of various research networks.
Our research focuses on investigating single cell and population dynamics during innate immune responses. The successful applicant will join an exciting research program in an international institute, hosting several research groups (Lämmermann, Rambold, Stegmeyer). Our research groups are currently seeking applicants interested in immune cell dynamics (in particular neutrophil extravasation) and organelle dynamics / metabolism in immune cells. Our research activities are integrated in several local research initiatives on inflammation and basic cell biology, e.g. CRC 1450, TRR 332 and SFB 1348.
