Zusammenfassung

Dayforce is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our Global Payroll team in Germany, supporting Germany payroll operations and collaborating with Europe and globally to deliver accurate, timely payroll and an excellent employee experience. You will shape best practices and work with Product and cross-functional teams to enhance payroll solutions.

Qualifikationen

  • 2+ years of German payroll experience in a multinational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of German payroll legislation, wage tax, and social security.
  • Fluent in German and English; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience handling payrolls across the employee lifecycle including audits.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll tech, including SV.net.
  • Experience supporting multiple EMEA payrolls is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Support end-to-end payroll cycle for Germany, on schedule.
  • Administer all stages of the employee lifecycle in payroll.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and data quality checks.
  • Ensure compliance with German payroll tax and social insurance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and external providers to resolve issues.
  • Assist year-end payroll activities and statutory reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation with Global Payroll.

About the position

We're looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our Global Payroll team and support payroll operations across Germany, while collaborating with colleagues throughout Europe and globally. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, improving processes, and delivering an exceptional employee experience. You’ll bring your German payroll expertise to help shape best practices and partner with Product and cross-functional teams to enhance our payroll solutions. We're looking for someone who combines strong payroll expertise with a customer-first mindset and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced global environment.

What you'll do
  • Support and execute the end-to-end payroll cycle for Germany, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Administer all stages of the employee lifecycle, including new hires, salary changes, promotions, leaves of absence, benefits, terminations, offboarding, and other payroll-related changes such as variable payments, time and attendance updates, deductions, and benefit adjustments.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and quality reviews to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Apply German payroll activities to comply with German payroll, tax, social insurance, employment legislation and day-to-day payroll processing.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to resolve payroll issues and employee inquiries, and liaise with government agencies, tax authorities, health insurers, and other regulatory bodies as required.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, statutory reporting, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and payroll documentation, while collaborating with the Global Payroll and Total Rewards teams on new programs, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives.
Skills and experience we value
  • 2+ years of payroll experience supporting German payroll in a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of German payroll legislation, wage tax, social insurance, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Professional fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing payroll through the complete employee lifecycle, including payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with HRIS and payroll technology, including SV.net or other German payroll systems, with an interest in automation and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience supporting multiple EMEA payrolls would be considered an asset.
