Job summary

Upvest is seeking a Payments and Reconciliations Intern to join the Operations team. The role focuses on timely processing, reconciliation of payments, and ensuring accurate cash flows while learning our end-to-end processes.

You will support investigations, data analysis, and collaboration with banking partners in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. Remote full-time position with competitive USD salary for interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills; ability to identify errors.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within our Operations team for an intern who would be interested in learning our Payments and Reconciliations processes. It is a fast paced environment and you are guaranteed to learn a lot from our motivated team of experts who value innovation, excellence, and shared growth in a results-driven environment. In this role, you will support the team in ensuring seamless delivery of day-to-day BAU tasks.

What you’ll do:

Timely processing and reconciliation of all inbound and outbound payments and treasury processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Monitoring customer payments and all related transactions to support smooth and reliable cash flows

Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between internal cash records and external statements

Proper monitoring of the operations bank accounts ensuring that balances are supported at all times.

Providing support for customer queries, audit processes, and ensuring smooth communication with banking partners

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred

Strong investigative and analytical skills; ability to identify errors

Fluent in English - both written and verbal. German is a strong advantage

Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines

Experience in data analysis and process automation using data visualization tools, SQL, Python, or similar is a plus
