Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.

Your Responsibilities

• Bevel grinding of optical components in accordance with technical drawings and specified quality standards
• Setting up and operating grinding machines, including selecting suitable tools
• Monitoring the machining process and ensuring consistently high processing quality
• Inspecting bevel width, geometry, and edge quality
• Ensuring chip-free processing and handling sensitive optical components with care
• Complying with applicable occupational health and safety regulations

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training as an optical technician or equivalent practical experience in optical manufacturing
• Strong quality awareness and a high standard of workmanship
• Very careful, precise, and reliable working style
• Good fine motor skills and manual dexterity
• High level of concentration, including when performing intricate tasks
• Technical aptitude and the ability to interpret and implement technical drawings and quality requirements
