The Role

As an Operations Manager at Circu Li-ion, you will be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize battery sustainability. You will lead the daily operations of our cutting-edge battery disassembly facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and scalability. Your role will involve optimizing workflows, managing a dedicated team, and collaborating with technical experts to drive continuous improvement. By maintaining rigorous safety standards and implementing lean practices, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our green energy revolution while meeting operational and environmental goals.

This position is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about making a tangible impact on sustainability.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the EV battery disassembly facility, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols for handling high-voltage battery systems and hazardous materials.
• Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization for disassembly lines and supporting functions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve equipment, tooling, and processes.
• Support the scaling of operations including onboarding new tooling, automation systems, and production lines.
• Hire, train, and manage operational staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and track KPIs to monitor performance, drive improvements, and report on operational metrics to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and standards related to battery materials.
• Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts in coordination with supply chain teams.
• Participate in budgeting, cost control, and CAPEX planning for operational growth.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is beneficial or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and production workflows.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with high-voltage systems, battery packs, or hazardous materials.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Being an international company we require German and English language for this role.
• Experience in EV, battery, or automotive industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with robotic tools or automated production systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of circular economy principles and environmental compliance is a plus.
