Tailored resume and cover letter, ready to send.
NODE Robotics GmbH in Stuttgart is seeking an experienced field robotics engineer to join our team. You will bring robots online at customer sites, calibrate sensors, configure NODE.OS, and test against performance and safety requirements, bridging software and field reality.
You’ll work in the office and on customer sites, with hands-on debugging, training customer teams, and feeding feedback to R&D to improve architecture and algorithms. Strong communication is essential.
Every site we go into is different: other floors, otherracks, other people. Our robots have to work there from day one and keepworking on day 400. Making that happen is your job.
You're the person between NODE.OS and the customer'sfloor. You enable mobile robots with NODE.OS, get them localizing andnavigating in a real facility, and hand them over to a customer technical teamthat can run them without calling us every morning.
When something breaks, you find out whether it's therobot, the building, the network or our software, and you make sure it doesn'tbreak the same way twice.
You work in the office, on customer and on end-usersites. You don't just report what you find there, you also fix it in thesoftware. An engineering role with real customer contact, not a support desk, and up to 30% of your time on customer sites.
Integration, sensor calibration, NODE.OS configuration, acceptance testing against performance and safety requirements.
Design, develop and maintain the software that runs ourrobots, and turn what you learn on site into fixes in NODE.OS.
On diagnostics, failure recovery and preventivemaintenance, so they can run the fleet on their own.
Integration playbooks and troubleshooting guides forthe field, structured input for R&D on architecture, hardware andalgorithms.
Decide whether a parameter change is enough or theproblem needs a proper fix, and then develop it.
Decide what the customer needs to knowand communicate it clearly.
Must-have
The other half
You'll often be the first person acustomer talks to when something goes wrong, so experience here matters:
Not for you if…
…you're straight out of studies orprefer to work only from a desk. No hard feelings, this role needs fieldexperience.
Those are the basics. Equally important is what youbring as a person:
Day four of commissioning a new site. Acceptance testis on Friday. Two of six robots keep losing localization near the loadingdocks, on and off. The other four are fine. It's 2 pm, and at 6 pm thecustomer's project lead wants a clear answer: is Friday on or not?
What do you check in the next four hours, what exactlydo you tell her at 6, and what would you change in our software so the nextsite doesn't run into the same thing?
Half a page. Bullets fine. No right answer, we want thereasoning.
Send it instead of a cover letter. A good answer getsyou a conversation, fast.
