Zusammenfassung

develop, a global investment and financial services organisation, seeks an experienced Operational Risk professional for its Risk Management function in Germany. You’ll own and scale risk processes and act as the key risk contact for the German business.

The role involves international collaboration with teams in Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the UK and the US, while maintaining risk appetite and hands-on execution in a pragmatic manner. 1–2 days per week in the office in Frankfurt.

Qualifikationen

• 4–5+ years of relevant risk experience.
• Background in financial services or risk consulting.
• Experience with regulatory / technology risk.
• Big 4 or major consultancy experience desirable.
• B2+ German, with professional presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage, improve and scale existing risk processes.
• Act as the German business risk point of contact.
• Collaborate with cross-border colleagues in Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the UK and the US.
• Ensure operations stay within risk appetite.
• Provide risk reporting and escalation as needed.

I'm currently working on an exciting opportunity with a global investment and financial services organisation that is looking to strengthen its Risk Management function in Germany.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Operational Risk professional who wants genuine ownership, international exposure and the chance to become the key Risk point of contact for the German business.

The opportunity

You’ll join an established international Risk function, working closely with colleagues across Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the UK and US.

The Risk infrastructure is already in place, so this isn't about coming in and completely redesigning the function. Instead, you'll be responsible for managing, improving and scaling existing Risk processes and making sure the German business continues to operate within its risk appetite.

Your experience could include:

• Regulatory Risk
• DORA / GDPR
• ICT, Cyber or Data Risk
• Internal Controls & Remediation
• Risk Reporting & Escalations

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll have:

• 4–5+ years' relevant Risk experience
• A background in Financial Services or Risk Consulting
• Experience with regulatory / technology risk
• Big 4 or major consultancy experience is highly desirable
• B2+ German, with the confidence to present professionally in German
• A hands-on, pragmatic approach rather than purely strategic experience

This is not an Investment Risk or Portfolio Risk position – Operational / Regulatory Risk needs to be the main focus of your experience.

Location & package

• 1–2 days per week in the office
• International Risk team
