Job summary

Freelance Opportunity – Site Erection Manager (Electrical & Automation) | Germany

I'm currently looking for an experienced Site Erection Manager to support a major electrification and automation project at an existing steel manufacturing facility in Northern Germany.

• Location: Near Hanover, Germany
• Start Date: Immediately
• Duration: 6 months initially, with potential extension to 12 months
• Contract: Freelance
• Working Hours: 55 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee LV/MV electrical installations and industrial automation works.
• Manage and motivate approximately 75–100 personnel on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, installation schedules and site productivity.
• Take ownership of electrical site activities, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Liaise with the General Contractor, providing progress updates and maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements:

• Strong electrical construction and industrial electrification experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage large construction sites and subcontractor teams.
• Previous experience in steel manufacturing, power generation or other heavy industrial environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV electrical installations and automation systems.
• Fluent German is essential; English is desirable.
