Onsite Manager - Photovoltaic Systems (m/f/d)

I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a growing renewable energy business delivering large-scale photovoltaic projects across Germany.

They are looking for an experienced Site Manager / Bauleiter to take responsibility for the successful delivery of utility-scale PV projects, coordinating contractors, overseeing site activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day construction activities on site and act as a key point of contact between the project team, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating construction activities on site
• Supervising subcontractors and external contractors
• Coordinating different trades, including civil works, electrical installation, mounting structures and PV module installation
• Monitoring project progress, quality and complianceEnsuring work is completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
• Supporting the planning and technical development of PV installations
• Reviewing electrical works and technical documentation where required
• Carrying out quality assurance and site inspections
• Producing site reports and maintaining project documentation
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Identifying and resolving issues on site to keep projects progressing

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in PV construction, site management, construction supervision or electrical construction.

You don't necessarily need to have followed a traditional PV career path - candidates from related construction or electrical backgrounds with strong organisational and site management skills are encouraged to apply.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience in site management, construction management or Bauleitung
• Experience within photovoltaics, renewable energy, electrical construction or a related sector
• A technical qualification, vocational training or engineering degree
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
• Good understanding of construction processes and site safety
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• CAD knowledge is advantageous
• Good German and English language skills
• Full driving licence
• Willingness to travel to projects across Germany
