Key Responsibilities

The work model for the role is:

You will be mainly accountable for:

• In close collaboration with our research team, you will be developing a distributed network benchmark concept for industrial cloud/internet environments. This includes:
• Conceptualization, analyzing the characteristic communication patterns and QoS requirements of distributed automation traffic as well as different infrastructure scenarios; based on this, define test cases and a methodology to analyze measurements and provide an automated assessment of a concrete cloud/internet situation.
• Development, implementing a benchmark software for the concept, including on‑site front‑end and cloud backend parts for users to execute tests, and to centrally collect the results.
• Execution, running benchmarks and supporting other users in benchmarking to build a benchmark data‑set; evaluate the results of the automated assessment.

Qualifications For The Role

• We expect you to bring creativity, initiative, and result orientation to support driving our innovations toward new products and services.
• You have a study background in computer science or communication engineering. You bring experience in software development, communication networks, and basic statistical analysis. A background in cloud application development and LLM‑based software development are further benefits.
• You are highly motivated, team‑minded, and able to work independently.
• Fluent English in verbal and written form is required.
