Job summary

Strix Group B.V. is seeking a Midlevel Full Stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to join our Apps-Team. You will help build and improve Shopify applications, ensuring stability and performance while addressing technical debt and quality assurance.

You will collaborate with product teams to design features, break them into tasks, and drive initiatives from concept through deployment, leveraging your two-plus years of experience and strong communication in German.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-time professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Commitment to quality assurance, including writing automated tests (ideally RSpec).
• Structured work approach, proactive communication, and a reliable track record of delivering projects.
• Very good command of German (minimum B2 level).

Responsibilities

• App Development & Maintenance: Develop and enhance existing Shopify apps, ensuring stability, performance, and maintainability.
• Technical Design & Conception: Collaborate on the technical design of new features, focusing on pragmatic, clean, and scalable solutions.
• New App Development & Collaboration: Contribute to full lifecycle development of new Shopify apps, from idea to launch, working with Product to translate requirements into technical reality.

Key Responsibilities

• App Development & Maintenance:

• Develop and enhance existing Shopify apps, ensuring their stability, performance, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve bugs, improve existing features, and contribute to technical debt reduction through refactoring and code quality initiatives.

• Technical Design & Conception:

• Collaborate with the team on the technical design of new features, focusing on pragmatic, clean, and scalable solutions.
• Assist in breaking down complex features into manageable tasks and epics, carefully considering effort and potential risks.

• New App Development & Collaboration:

• Contribute to the full lifecycle development of new Shopify apps, from initial idea through implementation to successful launch.
• Work closely with the Product Team to define the 'how' for features, translating 'what' into technical realities.

Eligibility & Requirements
