Edvantis is seeking a strong Middle DevOps Engineer with solid hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join a project focused on post-acquisition data and software carve-out.

You will separate applications, infrastructure, and data from source cloud environments, primarily working with GCP while gaining exposure to AWS, collaborating with engineering, security, and operations teams.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on GCP experience with core services.
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
• Good Linux admin and scripting skills; English upper-intermediate+.

We are looking for a strong Middle DevOps Engineer with solid hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join a project related to post-acquisition data and software carve-out.

Our Client is a leading energy-dedicated SaaS company that provides data, analytics, software, and intelligence solutions to customers across the energy sector. The company helps organizations make informed decisions through advanced technology, market insights, and operational tools that support efficiency, transparency, and business growth.

The project is focused on a post-acquisition cloud carve-out, involving separation of selected applications, infrastructure, and data from existing GCP/AWS environments and their transition into the Customer’s cloud platform.

You will help separate acquired business applications, infrastructure, and data from the source Company’s cloud environments and support their transition into the Customer’s cloud platform. This role will primarily focus on GCP, while also requiring some exposure to AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Support carve-out and migration of applications, services, and data from the source cloud environment into the target environment
• Work with GCP infrastructure, including compute, networking, IAM, storage, and managed services
• Analyze existing cloud environments and help execute separation and transition activities
• Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Support setup of target environments, access controls, networking, and deployment processes
• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams during carve-out activities
• Identify dependencies between systems, repositories, services, and cloud resources
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, connectivity, and permissions issues
• Document technical solutions, migration steps, and operational handover details
• Use standard engineering tools such as GitHub, Jira, and related collaboration platforms

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles
• Strong practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with core GCP services such as:
• – IAM
• – VPC/networking
• – Compute Engine
• – GKE
• – Cloud SQL or other managed data services
• – Monitoring and logging tools
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure migration and environment separation activities
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Good Linux administration and scripting skills
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AWS
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and standard engineering workflows
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment
• English level – Upper-Intermediate or higher

Will be a plus:

• Experience with M&A IT integration, carve-out, or migration projects
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Exposure to security and compliance practices in cloud environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools
