Agile Robots SE in Munich seeks a hands-on technician (m/f/d) with proven skills in mechanical assembly, soldering, desoldering, wire harnesses, and troubleshooting. You will support existing products to keep them fully operational and help develop robust hardware solutions.

This role requires practical problem solving, adaptability, and the ability to work across mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Ensure robotics systems are ready to use at all times.
• Create documentation, drawings and assembly instructions for testing rigs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain BOM, assembly instructions and quality control docs.
• Troubleshoot mechanics and electronics during development and production.
• Stay updated with robotics design best practices.
• Assemble/disassemble robot components, cables and PCBs.
• Perform soldering, desoldering, wiring and basic troubleshooting.
• Support procurement by sourcing suitable products and quotations.
• Travel to China for business trips; up to 50% travel to client sites.
• Work autonomously on evolving tasks.

About the role

We are seeking a driven technician (m/f/d) with proven hands‑on experience in mechanical assembly, soldering, desoldering, wire harnesses, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic tasks. In this role, you will support and maintain existing products to ensure they remain fully operational and improve and develop new solutions for robust hardware.

Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure that the robotics systems are ready to be used at all times
• Create detailed documentation, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for testing rigs or needed components
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integration
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality control documentation, support and creation of SOPs
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanics and electronics issues during development and production phases
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in robotics and mechanical/electronics design
• Perform assembly and disassembly of robots components, cables, and PCBs and other devices
• Carry out soldering, desoldering, wiring, and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g. oscilloscope, signal analyzers)
• Support procurement activities by identifying suitable products which meet requirements, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotations
• Open to travel to China for business trips
• The role involves significant travel (approximately 50%) to client sites
• Work autonomously on open‑ended, evolving tasks

Essential Skills

• Hands‑on experience with soldering SMD components
• Proficiency in Altium / Solidworks is recommended
• Proficiency in English, Spoken and written
• Knowledge of electronics design principles
• Knowledge of actuators and sensors using robotics, familiarity with sensor integration (force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs) is recommended
• Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting) is recommended
• Able to find fast solutions to common problems

Beneficial Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of proven work experience in related fields
• Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or automation industries
• Background in designing robust cabling solutions and cable harnesses
• Familiarity with electronics design and PCB production stages
• Knowledge of structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis to validate designs
