Zusammenfassung

Heraeus Electro-Nite is seeking an on-site technical sales support specialist for the iron and steel foundry industry. You will work directly with customers to optimize thermal analysis, melt treatment, and process control while traveling across Europe to define requirements and conduct trials.

The role requires a strong metallurgical background, fluency in German and English, and the ability to lead customer projects from concept to commissioning.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Foundry Technology or related field.
• Solid knowledge of thermal analysis, cast iron metallurgy, melt treatment, process control and quality assurance.
• Experience with grey iron, ductile iron (SGI), CGI, and/or cast steel desirable.
• High willingness to travel: 60-80% of the time (domestic, across Europe, occasionally worldwide).
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide on-site technical support to customers in the iron and steel foundry industry.
• Develop and present solutions regarding thermal analysis, process optimization, melt treatment, and magnesium/inoculation treatments.
• Oversee all phases of customer projects from requirements through trials to commissioning equipment.
• Analyze metallurgical issues at customer sites to ensure optimal results.
• Prepare technical presentations and conduct internal and external trainings and workshops.

• You will work directly with customers on-site to develop solutions regarding thermal analysis, process optimization, melt treatment, and magnesium/inoculation treatments.
• You will oversee all phases of customer projects, ranging from defining requirements and conducting trials to commissioning equipment (e.g., wire treatment systems).
• To ensure optimal results, you will analyze metallurgical issues at customer sites.
• Finally, you will prepare technical presentations and conduct both internal and external training sessions and workshops.

What you bring to the role:

• A degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Foundry Technology, Ferrous Metallurgy, or a related field
• Solid knowledge of thermal analysis, cast iron metallurgy, melt treatment, process control, and quality assurance
• Experience with grey iron, ductile iron (SGI), CGI, and/or cast steel is highly desirable
• Strong metallurgical understanding combined with analytical thinking skills
• A high willingness to travel: 60-80% of the time (domestic, across Europe, and occasionally worldwide)
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
