Job summary

Centogene GmbH in Rostock sucht eine/n Molekulargenetiker-Laborant/in zur Mitarbeit in unterschiedlichen Laborgruppen. Zu den Aufgaben gehören PCR, MLPA und NGS, sowie Vorbereitung von PCRs, DNA- und RNA-Bibliotheken und Qualitätskontrollen.

Sie arbeiten mit modernster Ausrüstung, dokumentieren Ergebnisse im LIMS, betreiben Biobanking und organisieren das Labor gemäß ISO/CAP/CLIA-Standards. Deutschkenntnisse wünschenswert, Englischkenntnisse erforderlich.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als BTA/MTA/CTA oder BA in Biologie oder verwandtem Feld.
• Hands-on-Erfahrung in Sanger-Sequencing, NGS-Probenvorbereitung oder vergleichbaren Laborerfahrungen.
• Gutes theoretisches Wissen in Molekulargenetik ist erforderlich.
• Genaues, strukturiertes und zuverlässiges Arbeiten.

Responsibilities

• Durchführung molekulargenetischer Analysen mit verschiedenen Technologien (PCR, MLPA, NGS)
• Vorbereitung von PCRs, DNA- und RNA-Bibliotheken, Qualitätskontrollen, Sanger- sowie NGS-Sequenzierung
• Umgang mit modernster Ausrüstung und Flüssigkeitshandling
• Dokumentation im LIMS
• Biobanking von Proben
• Laboreorganisation gemäß internationalen Qualitätsstandards (ISO/CAP/CLIA)

Your Responsibilities

Depending on you skills you may work in different laboratory groups, possible responsibilities are:

• Performance of molecular genetic analyzes using different technologies (e.g. PCR, MLPA, NGS)
• Preparation of PCRs, DNA and RNA libraries, quality control, and Sanger as well as NGS sequencing.
• Handling of state of the art Equipment and liquid handlers
• Documentation in LIMS
• Biobanking of patient samples
• Laboratory organization according to international quality standards (ISO/ CAP/ CLIA)

Your profile

Since we need to fill this position as soon as possible, a valid work permit for the German labor market is required. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to assist with visa or work permit applications.

• Successfully completed training as BTA / MTA / CTA or BA in Biology (or related field)
• Hands on experiences in working with Sanger Sequencing, NGS sample preparation or equivalent laboratory experiences are beneficial
• Good theoretical knowledge in molecular genetics is a must
• An accurate, structured and reliable working style is required
• Communication in English is required, German is desirable
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team ofMedicalTechnologists
• Fit in MS Office
