Job Description

The Medical & Clinical Affairs PMO & Transformation Manager (m/w/d) will enable the portfolio governance, strategic initiatives, and transformation across Medical & Clinical Affairs.

This role is responsible for operational planning and strategy execution to support effective implementation of Medical and Clinical Affairs initiatives and achievement of business objectives.

This role is offered as a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

Your Role:
  • Support the planning and execution excellence (eg. processes, SOPs) of Medical and Clinical Affairs initiatives (e.g. advisory boards, investigator meetings, medical education events and others).
  • Lead large scale initiative in the Medical or Clinical field working closely with broad cross‑functional teams.
  • Act as a liaison between Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs, and support alignment with cross‑functional stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Support strategic and portfolio decision‑making, by providing insights based on data‑driven analysis, identified KPIs, implemented dashboards, prepared presentations and reports ensuring to meet the organisational goals and strategy.
  • Own and maintain tool landscape (incl. AI) for the HPM Medical Office and create and facilitate trainings.
  • Drive annual operating planning procedures, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and overall business priorities incl. budget awareness.
  • Coordinate portfolio and prioritization activities, and drive regular reviews.
  • Prepare and facilitate project reviews and steering committee meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement, transformation, and change management initiatives to increase efficiency and collaboration.
  • Develop and provide project management structures and overarching tools and enhance their effective usage.
  • Support project managers in planning, tracking of deliverables, budgeting, resource management and transparent reporting.
  • Initiate Capability‑building programs: Plan, organize and execute Education programs and Trainings.
  • Support the creation of the Scientific Communication Plan together with the main stakeholders.
You are the right fit if:
  • You hold a Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Medical/Scientific Field, Nursing, Business or equivalent.
  • You have over 5+ initial years of experience in Medical and Clinical Affairs, or Project Management (PMO experience in a healthcare or life sciences environment).
  • You possess a strong understanding of medical affairs and cross‑functional collaboration within regulated environments.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and facilitation skills.
  • You are highly organized and Business‑driven attitude being able to prioritize activities based on strategic relevance and value.
  • You show analytical thinking, solution‑oriented and problem‑solving skills with the willingness to embrace new ideas.
  • You have the ability to engage with stakeholders and drive cross‑functional alignment.
  • You are proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Power BI, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • You are fluent in English (German or another European language is an advantage).
