A leading quantum sensing technology company in Germany is seeking a skilled mechatronics or mechanical engineer to develop automation systems for quantum sensing measurement systems. In this role, you will design and optimize mechanical components, ensuring system reliability and integration into automated workflows. The position requires an MSc with at least 4 years of industry experience or 2 years plus a PhD. You'll be part of a dynamic team supported by top-tier investors, with significant opportunities for growth and learning.
We are seeking a skilled mechatronics or mechanical engineer to support the development and automation of our quantum sensing measurement systems. In this role, you will design and optimize high-stability mechanical components and motion assemblies that enable sub‑micron positioning and reproducible measurements. You will collaborate with engineering partners and vendors to bring the first commercial generation of our precision instruments to market, with a strong focus on system reliability, alignment repeatability, and integration into automated workflows.
Founded in 2022 as a spin‑off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three‑dimensional current maps within multilayer chips. Our 30‑strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, helping them in chip debugging and accelerating their yield analysis.
