Zusammenfassung

ProSource Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for data centre projects in Germany and Belgium. You will take overall responsibility for delivering the mechanical services package and coordinating across disciplines with international stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership in project execution, risk management and timely, on-budget delivery. You will travel internationally to oversee mobilisation, installation, commissioning and handover on multiple sites.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in mechanical construction or PM.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale mechanical building services.
• Data centre project experience preferred.
• Experience with international main contractors is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical services package.
• Develop and manage the mechanical project execution strategy.
• Establish project objectives, deliverables, milestones and KPIs.
• Manage the project from mobilisation through installation, commissioning and final handover.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Chair regular mechanical coordination and progress meetings.
• Maintain communication with Project Director, client, consultant and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical project programmes with planning team.
• Monitor progress against milestones and identify delays early.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, structural, electrical, architectural and specialist packages.
• Plan labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements.
• Drive short-term and look-ahead planning with site management.
• Support recovery programmes where performance lags.
• Ensure procurement aligns with the construction programme.

ProSource Group are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor who is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for Data Centre Projects in Germany & Belgium. Due to their continued expansion there will be an opportunity for progression & growth within the company. Ideally the individual can work as part of a team, but also take the initiative to work on a project solely.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical services package.
• Develop and manage the mechanical project execution strategy.
• Establish project objectives, deliverables, milestones and key performance indicators.
• Manage the project from mobilisation through installation, commissioning and final handover.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Chair regular mechanical coordination and progress meetings.
• Maintain effective communication with the Project Director, client, consultant, main contractor and project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure all project documentation and records are maintained to company and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical project programmes in conjunction with the planning team.
• Monitor progress against agreed milestones and identify potential delays at an early stage.
• Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, structural, electrical, architectural and specialist packages.
• Plan labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements.
• Drive short-term and look-ahead planning with the site management team.
• Support recovery programmes where project performance falls behind target.
• Ensure procurement activities align with the construction programme.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical construction/project management.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Trade Background, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale mechanical building services projects.
• Significant experience working for a mechanical contractor.
• Proven data centre project experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing projects with mechanical packages in the €10m+ range would be advantageous.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary construction interfaces.
• Demonstrable experience through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Experience working with major main contractors, consultants and international clients.
• Previous experience working on projects in Ireland and/or mainland Europe is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work internationally for extended project periods.
