Isar Aerospace SE in Ottobrunn, Bavaria, seeks a Senior Mechanical Ground Systems Engineer to shape the ground systems infrastructure, including Launch Table, Transporter/Erector, and Hold-Down-Release Mechanism. Mission Brief
We deliver the half of the rocket that stays on the ground. As Senior Mechanical Ground Systems Engineer at the Ground Systems department of Isar Aerospace, you will take part in shaping the development of the Ground Systems infrastructure. This includes ground equipment such as the Launch Table, Transporter/Erector, and Hold-Down-Release Mechanism as fundamental parts of the Launchpad, but also the design of equipment for Testing Facilities, R&D, qualification and acceptance of propulsion systems and rocket stages. You will work in close cooperation with other engineering departments as well, such as Propulsion Technology and Launch Vehicle, since their requirements drive the design of the ground support equipment.
