Zusammenfassung

HyImpulse Technologies GmbH is seeking an experienced mechanical/structural design engineer to lead development activities for aerospace work packages, including demonstrators, testing, and supplier coordination.

You will define requirements for structural systems, develop concepts and sizing, and partner with performance and production teams to optimize design, performance, and manufacturability. Fluent English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical and structural design.
• Expertise in carbon-fiber composite structures, sizing, failure modes, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of structural adhesives and bonded joint design.
• Proactive, pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualification

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical and structural design
• Strong expertise in carbon-fiber composite structures, including sizing, failure modes, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of structural adhesives and bonded joint design
• Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Fluent in English

Desired Experience

• Design and sizing of sandwich structures
• Experience with prepreg composites and automated manufacturing technologies (AFP or filament winding)
• Understanding of NDI methods, applications, and limitations
• Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter
