HyImpulse Technologies GmbH in Baden-Württemberg seeks an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer focused on structural design and composite materials to drive development activities for demonstrators and tests. You will define requirements for structural systems and collaborate across performance and production teams to optimize design and manufacturability.

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in mechanical and structural design.
• Strong expertise in carbon-fiber composite structures, including sizing, failure modes, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of structural adhesives and bonded joint design.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English.

Aufgaben

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualification

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in mechanical and structural design
• Strong expertise in carbon-fiber composite structures, including sizing, failure modes, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of structural adhesives and bonded joint design

Desired Experience

• Design and sizing of sandwich structures
• Experience with prepreg composites and automated manufacturing technologies (AFP or filament winding)
• Understanding of NDI methods, applications, and limitations
• Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter
