NEURA Robotics is seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to own the overall mechanical concept for our robotic products, focusing on installation space, packaging, and drive integration from concept to series design.

You will define mechanical interfaces, evaluate materials and joining concepts for cost and manufacturability, and lead concept reviews while coordinating with simulation, industrialization, and procurement teams.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in mechanical or precision engineering or equivalent.
• Experience conceiving complex mechatronic assemblies.
• Proficient with 3D CAD software (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Solid understanding of tolerance management and lightweight design.
• Strong communicator and decisive decision-maker.

The Integration Design team owns the overall technical architecture of our robotic products. It defines system requirements, interfaces, and safety concepts across mechanics, electronics, and software, and makes the architecture decisions that shape series readiness.

Your mission & challenges

You own the overall mechanical concept: installation space, structural concept, drive integration, and manufacturability – from the first package to the series design.

• Developing the overall mechanical concept and space allocation (packaging)
• Defining mechanical interfaces and integration concepts for drives, electronics, and peripherals
• Evaluating material, manufacturing, and joining concepts for cost and scalability
• Leading concept and design reviews with the design teams
• Close coordination with simulation, industrialization, and procurement

What we're looking for

• Degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, or comparable
• Several years of experience conceiving complex mechatronic assemblies
• Confident use of 3D CAD (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks)
• Good understanding of tolerance management, lightweight design, and design for manufacturing
• Strong communicator, comfortable making decisions
