MBSE Lead (m / f / d)

In close collaboration with the Technical Design Authority team, and in liaison with the Predevelopment Directorate as well as with the systems engineering departments (satellites and instruments), you will be the key point of contact concerning MBSE, as a systems engineering enabling methodology at service of the projects. Under a specific development plan you will grow in technical and management competences in order to pave the way for the generation of a team of MBSE experts / modellers to be allocated to different projects according to the needs. The capability to consolidate the OHB System AG MBSE approach, considering the ESA MBSE roadmap as just one of the stakeholder roadmaps among many, is considered crucial. You will liaise on behalf of the TDA also with the CTO workstream, specifically in the context of the digitalization of engineering, AIT and production (Tech Hub). Your MBSE lead role will not prevent your allocation to a running study or a running project compatibly with the workload forecast.

Your Tasks

• Consolidate (identification, validation) the MBSE solutions at service of the systems engineering business processes;
• Consolidate the deployment and maintenance / evolution of the MBSE solutions in line with the systems engineering business processes;
• Pave the way to generate an MBSE centre of competences in terms of a team of experts and modellers at support of the projects;
• Foster the growth of know‑why and know‑how within the MBSE context via use cases, conferences, pilot projects, R&D (FFE) projects compatibly with the budget and the strategy at company level and at group level;
• Participate in the representation of the TDA as liaison to the CTO of the Group, specifically in the area of the digitalization of engineering and AIT and production;
• Contribute to the harmonization and the maturity of technologies and methodologies at service to the systems engineering processes (enablers);
• Keep the MBSE portfolio up‑to‑date (including visibility of conferences, participation to symposia / conferences, working group, trainings);
• Maintain the MBSE channels of communication (confluence page, link);

Your Qualifications

• University degree (preferably Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering) with majors in systems engineering for space systems. A PhD in Systems Engineering and / or related MBSE topics would be seen as an advantage;
• Proven experience in MBSE (regardless of methods / tools / languages);
• Proven experience with multi‑disciplinary tasks related to digital threads (MBSE, digital twins, multi‑disciplinary simulation);
• Proven experience in engineering multi‑disciplinary domains, preferably in a systems engineering context;
