Zusammenfassung

Emerson is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Germany to support production and product development. You will optimize processes and workflows to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity across manufacturing operations with innovative engineering solutions.

You will collaborate with global teams, lead improvements with Lean methods, and implement automation and digital manufacturing initiatives to enable scalable production and continuous performance gains.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering roles within serial production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production technologies including assembly, machining, testing and automation.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, waste reduction).
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering methods: line balancing, capacity planning, standardization.
  • Understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why).
  • Experience with project management and industrialization of new products and processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, manufacturing systems, and production data analysis.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English and German.

Aufgaben

  • Develop, maintain, and manage work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and process standards.
  • Plan and monitor manufacturing projects, balancing timelines, costs, and quality.
  • Design, implement, and improve cost-effective manufacturing technologies and production methods.
  • Analyze and optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Specify, design, procure, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production aids.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing teams, quality, maintenance, logistics, and product development.
  • Support the introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing lines, including ramp-up and change management.
  • Deliver training and technical guidance to production personnel and communicate updates and results to stakeholders.
  • Utilize manufacturing data, ERP, MES, and other digital tools to drive operational excellence.

Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support production and product development activities while driving the optimization of manufacturing processes and workflows. In this role, you will help improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and operational performance across manufacturing operations through innovative engineering solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and technological process standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor manufacturing and engineering projects while balancing timelines, costs, and quality requirements.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve cost-effective manufacturing technologies and production methods.
  • Analyze, support, and optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Specify, design, procure, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production aids.

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, or similar technical role within a serial production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production technologies, including assembly, machining, testing, and automation.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering methods, process optimization, line balancing, capacity planning, and standardization.
  • Understanding of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies, including FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why analysis.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Certifications or additional training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality Management, Automation, or Project Management.
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing operations.
  • Experience implementing automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
