Manager, Strategic Accounts and A&A - DACH

Axis has something great to offer! Axis Communications has an exciting position as Manager, Strategic Accounts and A&Es (Architects & Engineers) responsible for DACH (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) market.

We are looking for a Manager responsible for leading sales activities across selected End Customers (EC), Global Partners, and the Architect & Engineer (A&E) community within the DACH region. In this senior role, you will build and drive an effective demand generation EC program, strengthen Axis’ position among the consultant community (Architects & Engineers), and ensure long-term business growth through strategic planning, team leadership, and close collaboration with key internal stakeholders.

This role is based in our office in Ismaning (Munich), Germany and to be considered for the role you have to speak fluent German and very good English.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Strategy & Planning
  • Develop long‑term growth strategies, set sales goals, and refine business plans based on market insights.
  • Contribute to mid‑ and long‑term DACH strategic planning and ensure account plans are implemented for all strategic end‑customer accounts.
  • Track opportunities, collaborate closely with Territory Sales Managers, and support project closure.
  • Analyze processes and recommend improvements to increase overall sales efficiency.
  • Engage with high‑value customers, strategic partners, and the consultant community to expand Axis’ presence and share of wallet.
  • Oversee and follow up on trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing initiatives to maximize commercial impact.
  • Represent Axis at industry events, associations, and press interactions.
  • Handle cross‑border sales with international key accounts and manage specific strategic projects as assigned.
Building and Leading the Team
  • Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers (End Customers & Global Partners) and the Manager A&E.
  • Drive performance management, identify development needs, and support continuous learning.
  • Set clear team objectives and SMART KPIs, ensuring consistent follow‑up on goals and performance.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

  • Proven experience as a people manager and sales leader with consistent exceeding of revenue targets.
  • Strong background in managing technology solutions in an indirect business model.
  • Knowledge and experience in Architect and Engineer segment (consultants and specifiers).
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strategic planning and complex negotiation skills.
  • Cross‑cultural adaptability and experience working in international environments.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, energetic, and ready to challenge existing ways of working.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑paced environment and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess performance, identify opportunities, and guide the team.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
