Eraneos is seeking a senior energy transformation consultant to lead complex projects across the energy value chain. You will develop governance structures, design target operating models, and drive digital initiatives from strategy to implementation.

You will work in a multinational environment, travel as needed, and leverage strong knowledge of energy markets, IT/OT convergence, and platforms like Salesforce or SAP to deliver client value.

Qualificações

• 5–7 years of consulting experience, including energy sector exposure.
• University degree in business, energy-related studies, or relevant science/engineering discipline.
• Strong affinity for digitalization and information technology.
• Fluent German (C1) and business-fluent English.
• Experience with core platforms used by utilities such as Salesforce or SAP.

Our taks focuses on complex transformation projects across the energy sector:

• Conducting in-depth process analyses and identifying digital opportunities along the energy value chain
• Developing governance structures and strategic transformation concepts to support sustainable business change and enable value assurance
• Taking ownership of digitalization initiatives across the entire energy sector value chain - from generation and transmission to distribution, sales, and customer service
• Designing and implementing innovative solution approaches, target operating models, and comprehensive program and project management frameworks
• Leading projects through all phases — from strategy development to full implementation
• Developing and introducing management tools as well as IT/OT convergence solutions, such as Smart Grids
• Analyzing and optimizing organizational structures, business processes, and IT architectures to enhance efficiency and agility
• Supporting pitch preparation and contributing to the development of tailored client solutions

Who you are

You are analytical, communicative, and curious. You enjoy working in a team and bring high levels of initiative along with an entrepreneurial “can-do” mindset. In addition, you stand out through the following qualifications and traits:

• 5–7 years of consulting experience, including experience in the energy sector
• Practical experience with an energy provider or in industry-relevant projects
• University degree in business, energy-related studies, or a relevant science/engineering discipline (e.g., Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics)
• Strong affinity for digitalization and information technology
• Solid knowledge of standard consulting methods and tools
• Passion for innovation and willingness to take responsibility
• Strategic mindset and deep understanding of business processes in the energy sector
• Experience in setting up and working with core platforms used by utilities, such as Salesforce or SAP, combined with an interest in shaping future energy platforms
• Strong understanding of energy generation, transmission, metering, sales, and customer care, including business-side flexibility requirements and the underlying technical implications
• Enthusiasm for implementing the energy transition
• Language skills: fluent in German (C1) and business-fluent in English
• Willingness to travel

Additionally advantageous:

• Knowledge in metering, IT/OT convergence, and the selection and implementation of relevant platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jira)
• Experience in defining and executing IT, Cloud, and AI strategies
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma) and IT Service Management (ITSM)
• AI skills and initial experience in establishing and implementing AI initiatives
• Experience with AI value cases for creating new business value or with generative AI insourcing options
