The role combines hands‑on delivery of analytics, reporting, planning and automation with scaling proven solutions across Controlling & Accounting.

Job Description

Role

You will shape the next generation of controlling at tesa at the interface of Sales Controlling, IT, and Management Reporting & Systems. The core mission is to improve controlling processes using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and agentic AI, starting with hands‑on operational work in Sales Controlling Consumer and expanding successful solutions across Controlling & Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed in Sales Controlling Consumer to understand end‑to‑end processes, data flows, governance needs, and timing constraints.
• Identify high‑impact efficiency opportunities across reporting cycles, commentary collection, forecast preparation, variance analysis, and management Q&A.
• Design target processes and operational playbooks to simplify and standardize controlling activities.
• Build, enhance, and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud content for reporting and planning (models, stories, dashboards, input forms, collaboration features).
• Translate business questions into KPIs, data models, visualizations, and actionable insights to enable self‑service where appropriate.
• Develop and scale automations and agentic AI solutions with human‑in‑the‑loop controls to reduce manual effort and support decision‑making.
• Collaborate with IT and platform teams on architecture, integrations, security, and lifecycle management.
• Run requirement workshops, manage backlogs, lead testing/UAT, conduct training, and support go‑live activities.
• Measure progress, benefits, and adoption; build reusable templates and best practices for scaling beyond Sales Controlling Consumer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on data‑analytics and implementation capability; able to move from problem statement to working solution.
• Practical experience in Controlling, Sales Controlling, or Commercial Finance, ideally including planning/forecasting or sales performance management.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or comparable enterprise BI/planning platforms; understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT basics, and KPI governance is a plus.
• Interest and initial experience in automation, AI‑assisted analytics, or agentic workflows; familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio (or similar) and responsible AI practices is welcome.
• Excellent communication skills to translate between business and IT and explain complex topics to non‑technical stakeholders.
• High ownership, curiosity, and a proactive, structured, reliable working style.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Preferred / Bonus

• Hands‑on experience with scripting or tooling such as SQL, Python, Java, or automation platforms (Power Automate / Power Platform).
• SAP platform experience (S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, Business Data Cloud).
