Job summary

rosslight GmbH in Rostock is seeking a hands-on workshop technician to join a young engineering team. You will cover hardware tasks, build test benches, solder components, and support field activities in a fast-growing company.

The role emphasizes autonomy, learning new technologies, and taking responsibility, with flexible hours and a friendly culture. German and English skills required, valid work permit for Germany.

We are a young engineering service provider with a start‑up spirit, developing customized mechatronic solutions for major industrial clients. A large part of our work involves in‑house development. To support our engineers, we are looking for a hands‑on team member to take over hardware‑related tasks and manage our workshop.

Responsibilities

• Build test benches, measurement setups, and housing components


• Solder electronic components


• Support technical test field activities


• Operate and maintain FDM printers and 3‑axis CNC milling machines


• Manage inventory and workshop area

Must Have

• Professional experience in a technical workshop environment


• Proactive, self‑driven, and able to take responsibility


• Skilled with tools and eager to learn new technologies


• Intermediate English skills, Good German skills (C1)


• Valid work permit for Germany

Nice to have

• Experience with electronics tinkering (e.g., soldering, small circuits)


• Familiarity with construction profiles (e.g., item or similar modular systems)


• Familiarity with 3d printing and 3d design


• Experience with inventory management
